Frequently Asked Questions

CBD is sold as a herbal supplement. As with all herbal supplements no specific medicinal advice or assurances can be given. Will CBD help me is not an easy question to answer, it is very much an individual response to regular use of the supplement. We are not able to give a black and white response.

Taking CBD supplements is not the same as going to your GP and asking for medication. Therefore it is difficult to categorically say whether it will or will not help you, however hundreds of testimonials throughout the internet will help you to make your own opinion. You must be curious otherwise why are you even asking the question.

As BeCarma CBD is not sold as a medical product, we are unable to make any medical claims about what it can or may do for you.  The CBD products which you can obtain on a prescription are similar but not as easily available.  The only way you can really find out ‘will CBD help me’, is to try it. BeCarma CBD products are all natural so you can be assured that the products you buy have no hidden ingredients within them.

CBD or cannabidiol is one of many cannabinoids that can be found primarily in the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant, it has been known for supporting your body and mind in various ways. To date, over 700 constituents that have been discovered. within the hemp/ cannabis plant.

You can also find cannabinoids in Echinacea and Electric Daisy, these plants are thought to have many therapeutic benefits. Although the amounts found in these plants are not anywhere near as much as in the cannabis plant.

Legal CBD usually comes from industrial hemp, which generally is cannabis sativa strain. This is bred containing very low amounts of  psychoactive tetrahydrocannabinol, otherwise known as THC. Industrial hemp cannot contain more than 0.2% THC (at source) in order to be legally farmed in Europe. However here in the UK THC is not legal. In order for an oil to contain some THC and still be legal it must have less than 1mg per container- this is thought to be approximately 0.05%. There are many UK suppliers who believe the 0.2% applies to the end product however this is not so. Please be careful.

In some states in the US this limit is much higher so you need to be careful when importing CBD from the US or buying CBD products sourced in the US.

You should not confuse CBD with medical marijuana, cannabis oil or RSO (Rick Simpson Oil). Medical marijuana, cannabis oil  and RSO are sourced from different strains of the cannabis plant and these contain enough THC to cause a so-called ‘psychoactive high’.
